The mohair cardigan is worked in one piece as a raglan from the top down (RVO). The short cardigan features a wide front band that falls open outward. Short rows are worked at the end of the back piece to ensure an even overall length and to prevent the front pieces, due to the wide band, from extending too far below the back.
Additionally, the lower body is slightly flared through a few increases at the sides, creating a trapeze shape. If you prefer a straight shape, you can simply omit these increases.
The sleeves are worked flat in rows, taper slightly toward the bottom through a few decreases, and must be closed at the end using the mattress stitch. There is nothing preventing you from knitting the sleeves in the round, but this is not described in this pattern.
