The oversized cardigan is worked top-down in raglan construction (RVO – Raglan from the top). The lower body becomes narrower toward the hips, while the front pieces become wider toward the bottom. The wide sleeves taper slightly toward the cuffs and are worked flat in rows, then later closed using the mattress stitch.

There is nothing preventing you from knitting the sleeves in the round; however, this is not described in this pattern (see note in the sleeve section).
All cuffs and the neckline band, which is picked up and knitted afterwards, are worked in slip-stitch rib.
For each size, the pattern includes a separate reference table for the raglan section. All increases are listed there row by row, including stitch counts. Using this table helps you keep track of your progress, tick off completed rows, and monitor your increases easily.
