FEIYA V Cardigan
The FEIYA V Cardigan is a minimalist, cropped cardigan worked in stockinette stitch, featuring a distinctive shoulder construction and decorative hem finishes.
Description
DESCRIPTION
The FEIYA V Cardigan is knitted from the top down in stockinette stitch in one piece. No seaming is required.
The cardigan begins with the back band. Then stitches for the back piece are separated, and increases are worked in rows. After that, the piece is worked straight down to the armholes.
The two front pieces are attached separately to the back piece. The stitches from the back band are integrated into the front pieces, so that the band for the front neckline is worked at the same time. Increases along the front pieces shape the V-neck.
Under the arms, the back and front pieces are joined and worked together to the end.
For the sleeves, stitches are picked up from the armholes and worked in the round.
All hems are worked in a decorative 2 x 2 rib pattern. Thanks to the top-down construction, all lengths can be adjusted to your individual measurements. Please consider adjusting yarn requirements accordingly.

PATTERN and Gauge
Stockinette stitch worked with 2 strands of Yarn Option 1 or 2:
Using 6.5 mm needles for right-side rows and 6 mm needles for wrong-side rows, or needle size to match gauge: 14 stitches x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm
Note/Tip: Since my purl stitches are looser than my knit stitches, I used a needle ½ size smaller for the wrong-side rows to achieve an even stitch pattern.
YARN and YARDAGE
Base yardage 629 (674) 726 (782) 857 (944) 1,034 m
Model 1 (Yarn Option 1) with 2 strands of “Mohair Luxe” (175m/25g) in Pumpkin 159 by Lang Yarns
Yarn weight per meter = 0.28 g/m
175–200 (200) 200–225 (225) 250 (275) 300 g
Important note for knitting with other mohair-silk yarns with a yardage of approx. 210m/25 g:
The original yarn used in the pattern is slightly thicker (see yardage). This makes the cardigan more compact and slightly increases yarn consumption.
With the following alternative yarn option, the finished cardigan will be slightly lighter and more delicate at the same gauge and will require less yarn than the original.
Without model (Yarn Option 2) with 2 strands of mohair-silk (approx. 210m/25g)
Yarn weight per meter = 0.24 g/m
150 (150–175) 175 (200) 200–225 (225) 250 g
