CHILA V Cardigan
The CHILA V Cardigan is a cropped cardigan in a “chunky” look with a European shoulder construction and decorative long hem and sleeve cuffs.
The cardigan can easily replace a jacket and pairs perfectly with high-waisted trousers and skirts.
Description
DESCRIPTION
The cardigan begins with the back neckband. Stitches for the back piece are then picked up along the long edge of the band, and increases are worked in right-side and wrong-side rows to shape the back. The piece is then worked straight down to the armholes.
The two front pieces are worked separately and attached to the back. Stitches from the back neckband are integrated into the fronts so that the band for the front neckline is worked at the same time. Increases on the front pieces shape the V-neck.
Under the arms, the back and front pieces are joined and worked together in rows to the end.
For the sleeves, stitches are picked up from the armhole and worked in the round. Alternatively, the cuffs can be worked flat in rows or on double-pointed needles.
All hems are worked with an extra-long 1 x 1 ribbing. Thanks to the top-down construction, all lengths can be adjusted to your individual measurements. Please take yarn consumption adjustments into account when modifying length.

PATTERN and Gauge
Stockinette stitch worked with 2 strands using Yarn Option 1 or a combination of different yarns, e.g. Yarn Option 2.
Using 10 mm needles in rows or adjust needle size to obtain gauge:
10 stitches x 12 rows = 10 x 10 cm
Please note that gauge may change when knitting sleeves in the round. Here it changed to
11 stitches x 13 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
