Description

The Big MILLA Vest is a simple sleeveless and closure-free vest with a distinctive ribbed pattern.

The vest is worked top-down, beginning with the back band.

Stitches for the back are then newly cast on, and stitches are picked up along the long edge of the back band at the back neckline so that the band is directly integrated into the garment.

The stitches for the front pieces are picked up from the shoulders of the back piece, incorporating the band again. The fronts are then shaped with increases.

The back and front pieces are worked separately to the end of the armholes, then joined and finished together as the body.

All open neckline edges and the bottom hem are worked with a slipped-stitch rib.

Formula to calculate yarn quantity for alternative yarns:

Base yardage / yardage of your yarn x number of strands = number of skeins

434 m / 210 m x 6 strands = 12.4 skeins = round up to 13 skeins

Note that when working with multiple strands, you may need to wind the final skein according to the number of strands used.
