The Big JUNA Cardigan is a modern cardigan worked in half brioche. The minimalist cut and I-cord edges make it a cool IT-piece.
DESCRIPTION
The Big JUNA Cardigan is knitted from the top down in half brioche in one piece. No seaming is required.
The cardigan begins with the narrow back band. Then stitches for the back piece are cast on, and the back neckline and shoulder area are shaped using short rows. After that, the piece is worked straight down to the armholes.
The two front pieces are then attached separately to the back piece. The stitches from the back band are integrated into the front pieces so that the band for the front neckline is worked at the same time. The short rows are worked mirrored to the back piece, with additional increases for shaping the V-neck.
Under the arms, the back and front pieces are joined and worked together to the end.
For the sleeves, stitches are picked up from the armholes and worked in the round.
All hems are finished with an I-cord bind-off. Thanks to the top-down construction, all lengths can be adjusted to your individual measurements. Please consider adjusting yarn requirements accordingly.
