AVA V Cardigan
The AVA Cardigan is a classic cardigan with a simple color fade and wide balloon sleeves.
The decorative V-neck at the back is a special highlight of this design.

DESCRIPTION
The AVA Cardigan is worked top-down in one piece with a lovely color fade. No seaming is required.
It begins with a small back neck band. Then a few stitches for the back are picked up along the long edge of the band, and increases are worked in right-side and wrong-side rows to build the back section. After that, the back is worked straight down to the armholes.
The two front sections are worked separately, each attached to the back. The stitches from the back band are incorporated into the fronts so the band continues seamlessly into the front neckline.
At the underarm, back and fronts are joined and the body is finished as one piece.
For the sleeves, stitches are picked up around the armholes and the sleeves are worked in the round.
The hem is finished with a 1×1 ribbing. The sleeve hems are finished with a simple I-cord edge, creating the balloon-sleeve shape.
Because the cardigan is worked top-down, all lengths can be adjusted to your individual measurements. Please note that changing lengths will affect yarn requirements.

Stockinette stitch, worked with 4 strands of “Pearl Mohair” by MAJO
Note: Because my purl stitches are looser than my knit stitches, I used a needle size smaller for the wrong-side rows to achieve an even stitch pattern. The sleeves are worked in the round (all knit) using one needle size.
- With 9 mm needles on right-side rows and 8 mm needles on wrong-side rows (or adjust to obtain gauge):
11 stitches x 14 rows = 10 x 10 cm - In the round with 9 mm needles (or adjust to obtain gauge):
12 stitches x 14 rounds = 10 x 10 cm
