DESCRIPTION
The MARTA V Basic Jumper is a simple oversized sweater with a V-neck. The sweater can be knitted in two different lengths for both the body and the sleeves.
The construction begins with the back neckband and picking up stitches along the long edge of this band. Increases are then worked along the shoulders (shoulder yoke) to form the stitches for the front and back pieces. Short rows at the neckline ensure a comfortable and well-fitting shape.
Once all increases along the shoulder yoke are completed, the front pieces are worked first, including additional increases for shaping the V-neck, and then joined and worked down to the armhole. The back piece is worked separately to the armhole as well. The front and back pieces are then joined and finished in the round.
For the sleeves, stitches are picked up from the armholes and worked in the round.
The hems can either be bound off in classic stockinette stitch or finished using the I-cord method.
