Description
This pattern follows a “modular system” for an oversized cardigan with 2 different neckline variations, worked from the top down (Top Down), not as a raglan, but by picking up stitches from the knitted sections. You begin with the back piece and then pick up stitches for the right front piece. The same is done for the left front piece, and the lower body is finished together after the armholes.

The cardigan is shaped using short rows in the shoulder area and increases at the armholes. In the lower body section, stitches are decreased again so that the cardigan becomes narrower toward the hips.
For the sleeves, stitches are picked up from the armholes of the front and back pieces. The sleeves are worked flat in rows and are shaped with short rows and decreases.
Both the hem and sleeve cuffs are worked in slip-stitch rib. Difficulty level: intermediate.

- Gauge: 11 stitches x 15 rows = 10 x 10 cm
- Main pattern: stockinette stitch (RS knit, WS purl)
- Worked with one strand each of Trend & Nova using 10 mm needles, or adjust needle size to obtain gauge.
