KIM Cardigan
Description
The KIM Cardigan is an airy, lightweight mohair cardigan that will accompany you casually through spring and summer — perfect with jeans or a summer dress.
Tip: Cross the front edges of the cardigan and tuck them into your skirt or trousers.
Description
The cardigan with 3/4 sleeves is worked seamlessly in one piece from the top down. The stitches for the front bands as well as for the shoulders and sleeves are cast on using a provisional cast-on.
You begin with the left front band and then work the stitches from the provisional cast-on for the shoulder and sleeve up to the height of the armhole. The same is done for the right band and the right front piece. Afterwards, the provisional cast-ons are undone and the stitches for the back piece are picked up from the left front, the left band, the right band, and the right front.
The shoulder and sleeve slopes are shaped using short rows, the neckline slope with increases, and the curves under the sleeves as well as the side shaping with decreases. The lower edge is finished with a short brioche-style hem to prevent it from rolling.
Thanks to the top-down construction and the special design, the model can easily be adjusted in size. The instructions include detailed guidance on how to customize the fit.
